XFC 25 Results: Stephanie Eggink Claims Inaugural Women’s Strawweight Title

XFC 25 made history with the promotion’s first female champion being decided last night. After feeling each other out in the opening round, Stephanie Eggink was able to trap Angela Magana in a triangle choke for the tap out win.

“Our whole plan the first round was for me not to do much,” said Eggink. “Maybe throw my jab a few times and just see how she’s going to fight and that’s what I did. I’m not supposed to play on my back as much, but it was there, so I took it.”

The co-main event saw Dhiego Lima outpoint Ricky Rainey for the split-decision win.

XFC 25 was September 6 from the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. The main card aired live on AXS TV.
