Former UFC heavyweight Mike Russow has signed a multi-fight deal with the World Series of Fighting (WSOF). There’s no confirmed opponent or debut, but 2014 looks likely.
The Chicago police officer joined the UFC at 11-1. He took four straight wins for the UFC, earning Knockout of the Night once. He dropped his last pair to Fabricio Werdum and Shawn Jordan, which resulted in his release.
Some other heavyweights for WSOF include Andrei Arlovski, Rolles Gracie and Dave Huckaba.
The promotion returns with WSOF 6 on October 26 from the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, FL. Josh Burkman vs. Steve Carl headline for the inaugural welterweight championship.
