The World Series of Fighting has won the “Phoenix Jones” lottery.
Phoenix Jones is the name Ben Fodor goes by when he is fighting crime in Seattle.
Fodor is the brother of MMA veteran Caros Fodor and sports a 5-0-1 mark as a pro fighter. The welterweight is expected to fight for WSOF later this year, posting on Twitter that “I’ll be fighting crime all around the U.S. First stop is Gotham City NY and surrounding areas. See u in 2 weeks.”
His last official MMA bout came in February when he submitted Jason Novelli at Super Fight League 37. Prior to that, he fought Tyson Cunningham to a draw in late 2014 after scoring three prior wins that year.
Recently on social media, he posted a picture with a handful of papers, indicating they were all offers from MMA promotions around the world.
