The World Series of Fighting will be announcing a decision on current welterweight champion Rousimar Palhares Tuesday, according to executive vice president Ali Abdel-Aziz.

Palhares submitted Jake Shields this past weekend, earning a successful title defense. However, he was called out for multiple eye gouges and holding on to the kimura for longer than needed after Shields had tapped.
Prior to signing with the WSOF, Palhares was released by the UFC for holding on to a submission after the bell had sounded and the referee had intervened.
While WSOF president Ray Sefo did not make any official statement yet, he did retweet a message about Palhares on social media.
