WSOF Jumps Into November 15 MMA War With Three Title Fights

UFC 180, Bellator 131 and now the World Series of Fighting 15 will all go down November 15 on a day filled to the brim with MMA.

The event, first confirmed by, takes place from Tampa’s USF Sun Dome.

In the NBC Sports Network main event, Yushin Okami challenges middleweight champion David Branch. The other two title fights include lightweight champ Justin Gaethje vs. Melvin Guillard and female strawweight title holder Jessica Aguilar vs. Kalindra Faria.

Branch (14-3) became the inaugural middleweight champion when he bested Jesse Taylor earlier this year to conclude a four-man tournament. Okami (30-8) is a former UFC No. 1 contender who made his debut with the WSOF by submitting Svetlozar Savov.

Gaethje (12-0) defended his title with a stoppage win over Nick Newell, while Guillard (32-13-2) is coming off a finish of Gesias Cavalcante. Aguilar (18-4) is regarded as one of the top 115-pound fighters in the world and will be looking for her third title defense vs. Fara (15-3-1).

The UFC event takes place from Mexico City, with the main card airing on pay-per-view. Cain Velasquez defends his heavyweight title vs. Fabricio Werdum in the headliner. Bellator’s main card airs on Spike TV and boasts Tito Ortiz-Stephan Bonnar and Michael Chandler-Will Brooks for the vacant lightweight title.
