Ali Abdelaziz, an executive with the World Series of Fighting, responds on Twitter to complaints by one of his fighters.
Josh Burkman posted that he wanted to be released from his current deal, citing issues with contract. Abdelaziz didn’t hold back in responding.
“(WSOF) gave Josh Burkman 5 fights in 16 months, made more $ than any other fighter we have, bent over backwards for him,” he wrote. “I don’t know why all this bashing all of a sudden about me and WSOF? It’s all good though.”
Burkman picked up a recent victory when he finished Tyler Stinson last month at WSOF 9. He is a former UFC fighter, having gone 5-5 from 2005-08 inside the Octagon.
Vinny Magalhaes backed Burkman’s remarks and fired off a few shots of his own in the direction of Abdelaziz, but the two connected and the executive said “it’s all good.”
