WSOF 6’s Steve Carl Ready For A Place In The Top 10 Of Welterweights

48 hours until the World Series of Fighting (WSOF) declares their first welterweight champion and Steve Carl isn’t feeling any extra pressure. He closes WSOF 6 against Josh Burkman.

“I love that I am fighting a guy that many have in the top ten welterweights in the world,” said Carl to Chris Leslie from MMAFrenzy. “That’s where I want to be and that is what I want to do. I just want to beat one of the best in the world regardless of whether I get a shiny strap after the fight.”

Carl is 20-3 and rides six wins, which have all ended in submission. Two of those came from the WSOF in Ramico Blackmon and Tyson Steele.

Burckman has won three in a row for the WSOF with the biggest one being from Jon Fitch. He choked Fitch out in 41 seconds.

They headline WSOF 6 this Saturday, October 26. It’s from the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, FL. The main card can be seen live on the NBC Sports Network.
