Marlon Moraes wasn’t one of the biggest names to join the World Series of Fighting (WSOF), but in a short time has become a standout for the promotion. If he can add another win to his already 3-0 WSOF record, Moraes is gearing to become their first bantamweight champion. He takes on Carson Beebe at today’s WSOF 6.
“I’m really motivated, like I’ve never been before in my whole career,” said Moraes to MMA Fighting. “I’ll be the happiest guy in the world when I step in that cage. I believe that I’ll fight for the title after this fight. It’s a dream for me to fight for a title and my time will come.”
With two wins out of XFC, Moraes signed with the WSOF. In the span of 10 months, he’s beat Miguel Torres, Tyson Nam and Brandon Hempleman.
Beebe is 14-2 and makes his second appearance for the promotion. He earned a decision over Joe Murphy in June.
WSOF 6 is tonight with main card fights airing live on the NBC Sports Network. Moraes-Beebe comes from the BankUnited Center in Florida.
