WSOF 14 Results: Jake Shields Subs Ryan Ford, Smealinho Rama Becomes Champion

Jake Shields made quick work out of Ryan Ford in the main event of World Series of Fighting 14 Saturday night, earning a first round submission victory.

Shields, a former Strikeforce champion and one-time UFC welterweight title contender, earned a future WSOF title shot with the rear-naked choke win at the 4:29 mark of the opening round.

In the co-main event, Smealinho Rama finished Derrick Mehmen less than a minute into the first, becoming the new WSOF heavyweight champion.
