Vitor Belfort fights as middleweight and light heavyweight, but considers 185 pounds his true division. He will step once again inside the Octagon as a light heavyweight when he meets Dan Henderson. Belfort is expecting to make the UFC Fight Night 32 main event a memorable 25 minutes.
“That’s the type of fight that the fans will enjoy,” said Belfort. “It’s going to be intense. I have 14 weeks until the fight and preparation requires dedication and sacrifice. I’ll focus on winning the fight. I’m preparing myself for a five-round intense fight. That’s the way I predict the fight going.”
Belfort competed as a light heavyweight most recently at last September’s UFC 152. He was defeated by champion Jon Jones and returned this year with a pair of middleweight stoppages.
Henderson hasn’t been able to land the victory this year. He took split-decision defeats to Lyoto Machida and Rashad Evans.
Their fight will be a rematch from PRIDE 32, where Henderson earned a decision win. They headline UFC Fight Night 32 on November 9. It comes from the Goiania Arena in Brazil.
