Vitor Belfort says he is ready to pass any and all licensing tests presented before him.
Belfort, who was removed from a planned main event fight with Chris Weidman for the UFC middleweight title after the ban on TRT, told Combate in Brazil that he is now free of the testosterone use.
“I abandoned treatment,” Belfort said. “I have done the test. I have no hormones out of my body. I’m fulfilling the law, complying with the rule.
“Now, give me what is mine, give me what is my right. I’m ready to fight next week.”
Belfort was replaced by Lyoto Machida for the planned May fight, but Weidman-Machida was moved back to July after the champion underwent knee surgery. “The Phenom” believes he is now be re-inserted into the headline bout.
“I think Dana White should put me against Chris Weidman,” he said. “This is the fight that everyone wants to see.”
As of now, Weidman-Machida is still on for UFC 175 and the International Fight Week event in Las Vegas.
