Victor Meza Wants Big Fights Since Defending KOTC Lightweight Belt

Since Victor Meza left Bellator in 2009 with a pair of defeats, he’s looking to improve. He’s won four of his last five and claimed the King of the Cage (KOTC) lightweight title at the same time.

“Now I pretty much want to take fights and then take that next step,” said Meza to MMA Weekly. “I have the record to fight in any organization, so now it’s just a waiting game. I’m just trying to win every fight I have on my contract and then take the next step.”

A few weeks back, Meza successfully defended his belt against Benny Madrid.

Meza has won three in a row to go 13-3. He’s a regular at MFC and RITC.

There’s no return date for Meza, who got the decision over Madrid at KOTC: Boiling Point on September 28.
