Carla Esparza made her unofficial Octagon debut on the latest episode of The Ultimate Fighter 20 Wednesday night, meeting Angela Hill.

Esparza (9-2) won the Invicta FC strawweight title in 2013 when she scored a decision over Bec Hyatt and is regarded as the heavy favorite to win the UFC crown. She is on a four-fight win streak that includes a pair of finishes.

While the top overall seed, Hill was placed in the No. 16 slot.

Esparza dominated the fight, giving Team Anthony Pettis a fourth straight win by submitting Hill with a first round rear-naked choke. Esparza joined teammates Joanna Calderwood, Jessica Penne and Randa Markos in the quarterfinals.

Pettis picked Felice Herrig, one of the more outspoken fighters on both the show and social media, to take on Clark next week. Herrig is the six-seed, Clark No. 11.
