Ryan Jimmo has become the second MMA fighter to pass away following a hit-and-run incident this year.
According to a report by CBC News, Jimmo was involved in an altercation with another driver of a car in the parking lot of the H2O Lounge in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The 34-year-old passed away after suffering injuries sustained when he was struck by the other person – or persons – involved.
Jimmo fought for the UFC seven times and was 19-5 overall in his career. Following a 2015 loss, Jimmo was released by the promotion.
He earned a “Knockout of the Night” bonus for his seven-second victory over Anthony Perosh back in 2012.
