UFC officials sent out a press release for The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale on Monday, and a lightweight bout between Nate Diaz and Gray Maynard was listed.
The card is set for November 30 from Las Vegas, with UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson facing Joseph Benavidez in the main event.
Also, two new Ultimate Fighter champions will be crowned in the male and female bantamweight divisions.
“UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson and No. 1 contender Joseph Benavidez will meet again in the main event of the TUF Finale on November 30 in Las Vegas,” UFC president Dana White said. “Their first fight was fast-paced and featured five rounds of really close, back and forth action. I’m really excited for this flyweight title rematch and then the crowning of the winners of this season of The Ultimate Fighter.”
The Diaz-Maynard bout was announced earlier this year, but Diaz took to Twitter and stated he will be busy that night at his high school reunion. So far, though, it appears the fight is on schedule.
Other bouts announced to date include Jared Rosholt vs. Walter Harris and Akira Corassani vs. Maximo Blanco.
