Not all UFC careers last forever and it appears the promotion has decided to release two fighters.
Japan’s Mizuto Hirota joined the UFC off one Strikeforce appearance, where he failed to defeat Pat Healy. He dropped to featherweight and suffered a pair of decision defeats to Rani Yahya and Rodrigo Damm. As a pro, he’s 14-7.
The other name removed from the UFC website is flyweight Azamat Gashimov. At 7-3, he’s stopped most of his wins before signing with the UFC in 2012. His two UFC outings saw him get finished by Ivan Menjivar and John Lineker. The most recent fight was in May of this year.
Neither fighter was ranked in the Top 10 of their division.
