UFC president Dana White took matters into his own hands Saturday at UFC Fight Night 48, removing a judge he deemed unqualified to continue.
White, who stated during the post-fight press conference that the UFC hand-picked the officials and judges for the card, made it known that he did remove one member of the judging panel after the second fight of the night.
“Yes, he was (removed),” White said. “He was involved in the first fight and the second. I told the guys to go let him grab some beer and popcorn and sit down and start watching fights, not judging them.”
The brash boss has been outspoken before over judging issues, and told members of the media that if there was any issues with them in China, it was “on us” because they had picked the officials.
