A dozen fighters have been released by the UFC, according to the Twitter account UFCFightersiNFO. The account constantly updates the official weight classes for the promotion.
Tom Watson, Dan Miller, Andrew Craig and Ildemar Alcantara have all been taken out of the middleweight division, while Yosdenis Cedeno, Aaron Phillips, Niklas Backstrom, Wang Sai, Hans Stringer, Darrell Montague, Igor Araujo, Anthony Christodoulou, Cody Gibson and Royston Wee have all been released.
Watson came over after a run as the BAMMA middleweight champion in 2012, but went just 2-5 in seven Octagon appearances.
Miller, the brother of UFC lightweight contender Jim Miller, returned after a two-year layoff in July and lost to Trevor Smith. He was 1-4 over his last five spanning four years.
Alcantara, another brother UFC duo with Iuri, alternated wins and losses in his last six, going an even 3-3.
