UFC Rankings: “Mighty Mouse” Moves On Up

Fresh off his seventh consecutive title defense, Demetrious Johnson finds himself ranked second in the UFC pound-for-pound Top-15.

The reigning flyweight champion moved ahead of Chris Weidman after his win over John Dodson.

In the flyweight division, several fighters moved up due to John Lineker competing at bantamweight. Zach Makovsky, Dustin Ortiz, Chris Cariaso, Wilson Reis and Chico Camus climbed.

Lineker moved into the 135-pound rankings at No. 14 after his win over Francisco Rivera. Aljamain Sterling leapfrogged Bryan Caraway, while Frankie Saenz moved up two spots.

Roy Nelson is now 11th at heavyweight ahead of his upcoming fight with Josh Barnett, while Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Fabio Maldonado, Rafael Cavalcante and Corey Anderson moved up at light heavyweight.

Stephen Thompson and Neil Magny climbed in the welterweight Top-15, while lightweights Edson Barboza and Al Iaquinta worked ahead of Benson Henderson and Bobby Green.

Others who moved up include female fighters Jessica Eye, Marion Reneau, Jessica Andrade, Jessica Penne, Paige VanZant and Felice Herrig.
