The work Jacob “Stitch” Duran did at UFC events went largely unnoticed by most.
The fighters, though, knew exactly what Duran was always doing when it came to repairing their faces between rounds and after fights.
On Tuesday, Duran confirmed via social media that he would no longer be working UFC events after he made comments concerning the Reebok deal and how it affected his income. Duran, a veteran cutman for combat sports, stated that he lost “everything regarding sponsors from pay to a nice vest!” when the Reebok deal went into play this month.
@daej81 You will be the first to know that the UFC just let me go because I spoke out about the Reebok deal. Got to look for a new job!

The UFC also parted ways with veteran Burt Watson earlier this year. Watson was in charge of backstage planning and helping fighters get their weight down ahead of bouts.
