A stacked lineup has been put together for this Saturday’s UFC on FOX 15 card, including a pair of middleweight bouts that could help determine the next No. 1 contender.
All of the action starts on UFC Fight Pass at 4:15 p.m. ET before shifting over to FOX for the rest of the prelims and main card at 6 p.m. ET.
In the main event, former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold will test his skills against ex-UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida, while another former Strikeforce titleholder, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, battles Chris Camozzi after an injury knocked Yoel Romero out.
Here’s a look at three of the key fights set for the Octagon that you cannot miss:
Luke Rockhold vs. Lyoto Machida
We touched on this one already, but the idea of Rockhold vs. Machida going down is nothing short of excitement.
Rockhold has looked impressive since his 2013 loss to Vitor Belfort in Brazil, scoring a TKO over Costas Philippou and back-to-back submissions vs. Tim Boetsch and Michael Bisping. Overall, he is 7-1 in his last eight, including wins over Tim Kennedy and Souza.
As for Machida, he got his ship back in the right direction with a 62-second finish of C.B. Dollaway in December after going the full 25 minutes vs. middleweight champion Chris Weidman.
“The Dragon” is 3-1 in his last four and 5-2 in his last seven, with the other loss coming at 205 pounds to Phil Davis.
