Last year, Joe Soto was expected to make his Octagon debut vs. Anthony Birchak.
When Renan Barao went down while attempting to cut weight, officials placed Soto in the main event for the UFC bantamweight title vs. T.J. Dillashaw.
Now, several months later, Soto and Birchak will square off at UFC Fight Night 68 on June 6. The event takes place from New Orleans and the Smoothie King Center.
Soto (15-3) is a former Bellator and Tachi Palace Fights champion who recently talked with FightLine about his short-notice bout with Dillashaw. He had won six in a row prior to the loss to Dillashaw.
Birchak (11-2) dropped his Octagon debut to Ian Entwistle this past December.
