Unlike some weekends where it seems as if there is almost too much MMA to catch, we have just two cards – one on Friday night and the other early Saturday – to check up on.
All of the action will air on free (cable) television, and we not coincide with the NCAA men’s basketball Final Four. So, really, you have no reason not to tune in.
Here’s a look at three bouts you should not miss from these two upcoming cards:
Daniel Pineda vs. Jonny Carson/Legacy FC 41
Anthony Njokuani was suppose to meet Jonny Carson in the main event, but an injury knocked Njokuani out and opened the door for fellow UFC veteran Daniel Pineda.
While it might not have the type of build that many Legacy FC headliners due, it should deliver.
Pineda has won three straight since his release last year from the UFC, where he went 3-4 over seven fights. That includes back-to-back submission victories.
Carson hasn’t fought in almost two full years, but holds eight stoppage victories in his career.
With Pineda moving up a class, and Carson wanting to make an impact, we should see action right out of the gate.
