We open up action in the flyweight division, as Patrick Holhoan (9-0) puts his unbeaten record on the line against Josh Sampo (11-3).

Round 1: Holohan has been out of action for a year, recovering from back surgery. He trains with Conor McGregor, who we will see later today. Loud ovation for the Irish fighter, and a chant quickly breaks out in support. Holohan with a nice knee to the body, but Sampo is backing him up with powerful right hands. Counter right lands by Sampo, as he catches Holohan flush on the side of the face. Out of nowhere, Holohan catches Sampo and he looks out. As Sampo hits the canvas, it appears as if he came back to life. Holohan pounces and is inside the guard, but it appears as if Sampo has recovered. Holohan transitions to the back off a slick reversal, locks in a rear-naked choke and has both hooks in. Sampo fights out, but Holohan is able to lock it right back up and he gets the tap and his first UFC win. Holohan ignites the Irish crowd right off the bat.
