Ian McCall vs. Brad Pickett

We head to the flyweight division once more with contenders Ian McCall (12-4-1) and Brad Pickett (24-8).

Round 1: High tension before this one, but they still touch gloves. These two have gone back-and-forth on Twitter for months now. Pickett takes the center early on, and McCall tries to jump in with rights. Pickett with a huge left hook and McCall smiles at him. Another hook just misses over the top. McCall with a combo and they tie up, landing a knee in the process. Low blow from Pickett and we have a break in the action. Pickett doesn’t agree, but the stoppage time starts and the replay shows it as a complete low blow. Inside leg kick from McCall, who again clinches and scores with a takedown. He’s so quick and transitions so fluidly that Pickett had no choice but to hit the canvas. Pickett back to his feet and he connects with an elbow from in close. McCall fires off three shots, with the final one landing. Pickett answers right back. Flurry from McCall includes a knee to the midsection. Uppercut by McCall connects, as well.

Round 2: The crowd gets up for the second and McCall responds with a takedown. Pickett, though, is able to work right to his feet and not take any damage. Another takedown, this time of the trip variety, and he mounts. Pickett is attempting to buck him off, but McCall has the advantage. Pickett works free and goes on the attack, pushing forward. McCall defends the takedown and attempts a guillotine at the same time. Quick left for McCall is answered by a Pickett hook.

Round 3: Good start for Pickett this round, but McCall continues to keep him at a distance and avoid the power punches. Solid kick to the midsection from McCall stops Pickett for a moment in his tracks. Pickett is continuing to try and walk him down, but gets taken to the canvas for his efforts. Pickett working hard to get out, but is trapped under the body of “Uncle Creepy.” McCall transitioning from side control to half-guard with ease, damaging the body and face of Pickett.
