Cody Donovan vs. Nikita Krylov
We head to the light heavyweight division, as Cody Donovan (8-4) battles Nikita Krylov (16-4).
Round 1: Donovan quickly takes the center of the Octagon, but Krylov lands a head kick and forces Donovan back against the fence. Donovan fights off his back and tries for a toss, but falls to his back. However, Donovan finds an arm and appears to have an armbar locked up. Krylov, though, shows his skills and slips out, getting free. Great exchange on the feet, as Krylov does damage with a left hook. Donovan with a perfectly-executed double-leg takedown and into guard. Donovan decides enough is enough on the ground and stands up, which allows Krylov to get the better of the action with knees and lefts. Krylov does a great job of switching off a rear-naked choke and going to straight ground-and-pound, forcing the ref to call a stoppage just before the round ends.
