Back to the lightweight division, as Rafael dos Anjos meets up with Jason High.
Dos Anjos (20-7) had his five-fight win streak snapped by Khabib Numragomedov this past April. He had earned wins over Donald Cerrone, Evan Dunham and Mark Bocek.
High (18-4) has won his last two, downing Anthony Lapsley and James Head. He is 9-1 over his last 10 fights, falling only to Erick Silva.
Round 1: Pair of quick lefts snapped off by High to start, as the southpaw connects. Good counter-striking exchanges, as High secures the waist and scores with a takedown. Dos Anjos trying attempts a choke, but High has control and avoids it. Triangle thrown up by dos Anjos. Excellent submission try into a reversal for RDA and he’s free. Big shot to the body by dos Anjos, and another. He definitely has the speed advantage over High. Dos Anjos peppers him with three straight jabs before dropping for a takedown and scoring.
