Erik Perez vs. Bryan Caraway
We remain in the bantamweight division, as Erik Perez meets up with Bryan Caraway.
Perez (14-5) is 9-1 in his last 10, falling only via split decision to Takeya Mizugaki. Caraway (18-6) is 4-1, with his lone loss during that stretch also being via split decision to Mizugaki.
Round 1: Perez throws an immediate head kick right off the bat, but Caraway is able to check it. Perez goes high and almost gets taken down, but keeps his balance. Perez gets locked in a guillotine choke. Caraway trying to secure it, but he’s unable to and Perez gets free. Another head kick, but this time Caraway catches it and slams him to the canvas. Body lock secured and Caraway is on his back with two-plus minutes to go. Perez waits patiently and escapes, working inside the guard. Heavy rights to the body from Perez, and a knee to the body. Perez is in the zone now, snapping off jabs.
