Magnus Cedenblad vs. Krzysztof Jotko

The first of four middleweight bouts features Magnus Cedenblad going up against Krzysztof Jotko.

Cedenblad (11-4) has split his two UFC bouts, defeating Jared Hamman and falling Francis Carmont. Both fights ended in submissions.

Jotko (14-0) defeated Bruno Santos in December in his debut with the promotion. He has four knockout and two submission wins.

Round 1: Jotko is coming right out after Cedenblad, attacking him and pushing forward. His aggressive nature gets him tied up and held against the fence. Cedenblad trying to land a knee to the face from inside the clinch, continuing to bully his way. Trip takedown from Cedenblad, who is now in butterfly guard. Jotko defends the D’arce choke and winds up back inside the guard position. Jotko’s corner has a nasty, rough voice and is shouting instructions. It’s a little intimidating to hear. Jotko works to his feet, but gets taken right back down and we’re back to half-guard.

Round 2: Cedenblad with a big head kick and he lands a solid left that backs Jotko up against the fence. Break in action due to Cedenblad losing his mouthpiece, and we reset inside the center of the Octagon. Jotko now in deep with a takedown attempt, switching to some nice lefts to the body. Cedenblad reverses course and is now going for a double-leg of his own. Jotko defends, but is unable to stay upright and Cedenblad transitions to half-guard on the way down. Two minutes left in the round. He postures up and lands some nice rights, but Cedenblad passes and has a potential head-and-arm choke. He gets a hook in, but it allows Jotko to slip out and move into half-guard himself. Solid elbows land from Jotko. With a nice slip to the back, Jotko has a potential rear-naked choke. He tries to tighten the grip, but Cedenblad transitions and is back on top quickly. Cedenblad working a guillotine and he gets it with just seconds left in the round.
