UFC Fight Night 29 drew a sellout crowd of 6,621, according to UFC executive Marshall Zelaznik.
The event took place Wednesday night, with a main event between Jake Shields and Demian Maia. Shields earned the win, topping Maia in his native home.
Zelaznik added that the number proves the decision to hold cards on Wednesday nights was a good move by the UFC and FOX Sports. They also decided to move them to smaller arenas, providing for more energy for the fights.
Just over a month ago, the UFC held a card in Brazil and brought in 5,126 fans.
