UFC Completes Day-Night Doubleheader With Cards In Germany, Brazil

The UFC completed a doubleheader of cards in foreign countries Saturday, as UFC Fight Night 41 went down from Berlin, Germany and The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale took place from Sao Paulo.

In the opener, Gegard Mousasi scored a convincing submission victory over Mark Munoz to improve to 2-1 since joining the UFC. The former Strikeforce champion mentioned a possible future fight with either Luke Rockhold or Tim Kennedy, who both also competed in Strikeforce alongside Mousasi.

C.B. Dollaway, Sean Strickland and Niklas Backstrom all earned main card wins, as well, along with Nick Hein, Magnus Cedenblad, Iuri Alcantara, Peter Sobotta, Maximo Blanco and Ruslan Magomedov picking up prelim wins.

Alcantara stopped Vaughan Lee in just 25 seconds, while Cedenblad earned a submission with just a second left in the second round vs. Krzysztof Jotko.

At night, it was Stipe Miocic making quick work of Fabio Maldonado, finishing him in less than a minute despite the strong efforts of the Brazilian crowd to push Maldonado to victory.

Two new TUF: Brazil winners were also crowned, as Antonio Carlos, Jr. topped Vitor Miranda and Warlley Alves stopped Marcio Alexandre, Jr.

Demian Maia, Robbie Peralta, Rashid Magomedov, Elias Silverio, Gasan Umalatov, Kevin Souza, Ricardo Abreu, Marcos Rogerio de Lima and Pedro Munhoz added wins from Sao Paulo.

All total that equals 22 fights in two countries spanning 13 hours.
