UFC 191: Demetrious Johnson Proves to be Too Much For John Dodson Again

demetrious johnson

John Dodson didn’t have any answers for Demetrious Johnson’s vaunted pace and diversified attacks at UFC 191 tonight, and fell to 0-2 against the flyweight champ.

As expected, Dodson threatened Johnson with some heavy shots early on, but unlike their first encounter, he was unable to find the mark. Johnson relentlessly pressured Dodson with strikes and takedowns throughout the fight, and the latter was unable to counter the offense. Johnson was awarded a unanimous decision victory after the fight, marking the second time he’s handed Dodson a UD defeat.

In the co-headliner, Andrei Arlovski managed to work his way to a unanimous decision win over fellow heavyweight contender, Frank Mir. The fight didn’t feature many memorable exchanges, but Arlovski outscored Mir in the opening and third frame, and earned the victory.
