While the plan was for The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4 coaches to not fight, things changed once Anderson Silva was removed.
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira was brought into coach opposite Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, which opened the door for his twin brother, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, to rematch with Rua.
Officials added the bout to the UFC 190 pay-per-view on August 1 from Brazil, joining a main event between Ronda Rousey and Bethe Correia.
Rua (22-1) scored a decision over Nogueira back in 2005 during the PRIDE Middleweight Grand Prix. However, the former UFC light heavyweight champion hasn’t won since 2013.
Nogueira (21-6) had his two-fight win streak snapped by Anthony Johnson last year.
