ufc 189

Finally, after months of talk, UFC 189 will finally go down this weekend.

However, the planned main event between Conor McGregor and UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo will not be taking place.

Saturday night from Las Vegas and the MGM Grand Garden Arena we will be treated to a double-title card. In the headline bout, McGregor and Chad Mendes collide for the interim title, while Robbie Lawler defends his welterweight belt vs. Rory MacDonald in the co-main event.

Also, featherweights Dennis Bermudez and Jeremy Stephens square off, along with welterweights Gunnar Nelson and Brandon Thatch, and Brad Pickett and Thomas Almeida.

Two bouts on UFC Fight Pass start the night at 7 p.m. ET, while FOX Sports 1 will be home to four prelims beginning at 8 p.m. ET. That includes three welterweight scraps, featuring Matt Brown vs. Tim Means.

FightLine will have full coverage of all the action, including live and free play-by-play.
