Three years ago, Rafael dos Anjos moved to the U.S. to try and become champion in the UFC.

This coming Saturday night, dos Anjos gets his chance, taking on Anthony Pettis in the main event of UFC 185 for the lightweight belt.

Dos Anjos (23-7) secured his shot at the belt after stringing together a three-fight win streak over Nate Diaz, former champion Benson Henderson and Jason High last year. He’s 7-1 in his last eight overall.

“I moved here three years ago with my family and the life wasn’t easy,” said dos Anjos, in a recent interview with “I’m not a superstar. I had to work hard. I’ve got to feed my kids. I came from the bottom. I know how hard it is.

“I didn’t have a rich mom or rich father to support me. I support them and always carried extra pressure. But for this time, I feel like I finally got my chance. I have a chance to change my life and I will.”

Despite facing a fighter in “Showtime” that many consider one of the best in the world, the Brazilian isn’t concerned.

“He’s a good fighter, but I just think he’s not unbeatable,” dos Anjos said. “We are on the top of the division and whoever makes a mistake that night is going to pay for it.”
