Fabricio Camoes vs. Tony Martin
We begin the night with a pair of lightweights, as Fabricio Camoes (14-8-1) takes on Tony Martin (8-2). Due to issues weighing in, this will be a catchweight contest at 158 pounds after both came in over. Both fighters are coming off back-to-back losses, meaning a win is of the utmost importance in this one.
Round 1: Martin comes right out and takes control of the center of the Octagon, looking to take advantage of his reach. Camoes ignores the disadvantage and lands a perfectly-placed kick, as these two are still warming up. Martin with a duck-under double-leg takedown and he works to side control. Into half-guard, as Martin is searching for a possible kimura. Camoes with perfect defense, holding the arm in place and working for his own submission. Martin has a strong position and kimura almost secured with 90 seconds left in the round. More solid defense by Camoes, but Martin adjusts and locks up the hold, cranking on the shoulder and getting the tap. Camoes actually half-tapped once but the ref didn’t see it. He kept the hold on and earned the win.

Gilbert Burns vs. Christos Giagos
We’ll wrap up the Fight Pass prelims with lightweights Gilbert Burns (8-0) and Christos Giagos (10-2). Awesome “Spartan-themed” entrance for Giagos, who goes by the “Spartan” nickname because of his Greek heritage. Belfort in the corner of Burns, as they are training partners and friends.
Round 1: Both fighters are bouncing around and moving smoothly, as Giagos catches a low blow and we have a quick break. Giagos looking to use his boxing skills, snapping off the left quickly. Huge power-takedown for Burns, driving him into the canvas. Ground game being put into play here, as Burns is working for a better position or a possible submission as we head under two minutes. Burns briefly secures mount, but Giagos gets free, giving up his back and then getting mounted again. He takes the back this time and has a rear-naked choke locked up, figure-fouring his legs around the body. He flips Giagos to the canvas, but the choke is no longer there. Burns transitions to an armbar with just seconds left and it’s all over. There’s likely some serious damage to the arm of Giagos, as Burns rolled through and had him belly-down with the armbar locked up.
