Ryan Jimmo vs. Ovince St. Preux
We open up the main card in the light heavyweight division, as Canada’s Ryan Jimmo takes on Ovince St. Preux.
Jimmo (19-3) has split his last four fights overall, but knocked out Sean O’Connell last April. He holds wins over Igor Pokrajac, Anthony Perosh, Sokoudjou and Zak Cummings during his career.
St. Preux (15-5), a former Tennessee Volunteer standout on the gridiron, is on a four-fight win streak that includes back-to-back finishes of Nikita Krylov and Cody Donovan.
Round 1: Jimmo with the kick and he gets right into his karate-style stance. OSP answers with a kick of his own. He winds up and delivers a huge left and sends Jimmo back, and another. One more straight left connects from St. Preux, but Jimmo answers with a right of his own. Battle for positioning and Jimmo exits with some damage done to his face. Some heavy breathing for OSP already, as he is constantly looking at the clock just minutes in. Left hand from OSP and he goes for a power takedown after catching a kick, scoring with it.

Round 2: St. Preux gets right in and attacks, but is unable to keep it up. Jimmo fires back than takes a step back to survey the field. Perfectly-timed takedown for St. Preux, as he moves to side control. Full-mount than to the back for OSP with plenty of time to work. He gets the hooks in and is working for a rear-naked choke. Jimmo does a nice job of breaking the hold and they flip over. Immediately, Jimmo starts screaming that his arm is broken and the ref steps in. He knows a bone is broken in his right arm but is very calm about it all. Upon replay, as OSP was working for a takedown, he also had the right arm secured behind his back and yanked.
