Luke Rockhold vs. Tim Boetsch

Our lone middleweight contest of the evening features former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold matched up against Tim Boetsch.

Rockhold (11-2) earned his first UFC win when he finished Costas Philippou this past January, rebounding from a loss to Vitor Belfort in 2013.

Boetsch (17-6) has posted a 5-2 mark in his last seven fights, including an October victory over C.B. Dollaway. He also holds wins over Hector Lombard and Yushin Okami.

Round 1: Wild scramble and Rockhold has his legs locked around the head of Boetsch. Just seconds in, so no sweat to keep the submission from tightening. The triangle is locked in and Rockhold goes to the body to soften him up. Boetsch remaining calm, working to stand up. He also has the right arm now, working for a potential kimura. Boetsch goes to his back to try and stay in it. Rockhold applies more pressure and this one is all over.
