Miller (23-4) is unbeaten in his last three, defeating Joe Lauzon and Fabricio Camoes, while a loss to Pat Healy was overturned to a no-contest after Healy failed his post-fight drug test.
Medeiros (9-1) had a knockout victory over Yves Edwards reversed to a no-contest after he failed his post-fight drug test. Prior to that, a thumb injury cost him a fight with Rustam Khabilov.
Round 1: Medeiros has a six-inch reach advantage, but Miller is oozing experience. Kicks to start for the youngster, as he tries to keep Miller from getting in close. Powerful left hook misses from Miller. Medeiros looks very calm and poised to start. Redness on the chest of Miller from those kicks by Medeiros. Another kick and followed up by a strike, but Miller answers. Miller with a takedown and he locks up a guillotine. Only one leg, but he is cranking and Medeiros is freaking out a bit. Medeiros doesn’t tap and goes out. Miller might not have realized that, as he was celebrating while the limp body of Medeiros was draped over him.
