Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Sara McMann for the UFC female bantamweight championship

Our main event features two former Olympic medalists, as Ronda Rousey defends her UFC female bantamweight title against Sara McMann.

Rousey (8-0) was the winner of a bronze medal in judo and has earned eight submission victories in her career. This past December, she successfully defended her belt against Miesha Tate.

McMann (7-0) picked up silver in wrestling at the Summer Olympics. She stopped Sheila Gaff last April in her Octagon debut, and owns three submission wins to her credit.

Round 1: We got a war, as these two are standing and trading. McMann lands and Rousey clinches against the fence. Knees to the body by McMann, and Rousey retaliates. Another knee to the body by McMann is answered by one from Rousey. Huge right hand gets through by Rousey. Rousey connects with a knee that drops McMann, who doubles over, and a few more punches are all Herb Dean needs to see, calling a stop to this one early. It was a liver shot that did it. McMann was down on one hand when the ref stepped in. She seemed to recovery, but didn’t protest the stoppage.
