The ending to UFC 168 was one many couldn’t have predicted, as Chris Weidman successfully defended his title with a second round TKO victory over Anderson Silva.
Silva threw a leg kick that Weidman checked, and “The Spider” immediately dropped to the canvas. It was pretty obvious that Silva suffered a serious injury, as you could see the lower part of his left leg snap awkwardly.
Twitter reacted immediately to the finish, from entertainers to fellow fighters and others.

@arda_ocal Damage done is damage done. He didn't slip on a banana peel, Weidman checked that kick which is a defensive AND offensive move.

Remember the post I did why you have to open your hips when you kick? Otherwise you connect with the flat part and break your shin.
