GSP lands a low kick early, followed by a jab and a front kick. Hendricks wings that big left hand, GSP ducks under and explodes into his patented double leg securing the take down and threatening with a mounted guillotine. He gives up the submission. Hendricks is able to get back to his feet and clinch with GSP, driving him towards the cage. Hendricks lands two knees into the clinch. Hendricks connects with an uppercut as GSP drives through for a single leg. Hendricks defends but GSP drives through to the cage. GSP still digging for the take down – Hendricks landing hard elbows to the side of GSP’s head. Hendricks reverses him and completes a take down. GSP returns to his feet but Hendricks is still driving through for a take down. GSP creates distance and separates. Hendricks throws a big knee as GSP is coming in. GSP lands an inside low kick. Hendricks explodes forward with a left hook, GSP avoids the damage. GSP goes high with a kick. GSP engages in a clinch but eats two knees to the thigh. They trade punches to the body. They disengage. GSP lands a low kick but is countered by a straight left before the bell.

GSP opens the round with a jab followed by a low kick and a superman punch. Hendricks charges forward and clips him with a straight left knocking a big chunk of vaseline. Hendricks clips GSP with a left. GSP is wobbly. Hendricks is unloading, connecting with lefts and rights. GSP is backing up! His face is wearing the damage of Hendricks’ punches. The fight is paused to put a mouth piece back in. They resume. Hendricks clips him again. Hendricks then clinches with him against the cage. They separate after exchanging some short punches. GSP connects with a stiff jab. GSP eats another left but responds with a superman punch. They exchange high kicks. Hendricks steps in with an uppercut. GSP lands a right hand. Hendricks tags GSP on the temple. GSP with a jab. GSP goes high with a kick, followed by a front kick. Hendricks wings his left but is countered with a right by GSP. Hendricks and GSP trade feints and then clinch up near the final 10 seconds of the round. They exchange short knees to the thigh before the bell.

GSP opens the round with another low kick followed by a front kick. Hendricks responds with a jab followed by a right hook. GSP lands an inside low kick, Hendricks lands a knee to the body. They exchange jabs, Hendricks follows his up with a straight right to the body. GSP jabs, Hendricks goes for an inside low kick. Hendricks presses forward looking to land a left hook but is countered by a right. GSP lands a kick to the body followed by a jab and a straight right. GSP lands a left hook and then throws a high kick. Hendricks starting to paw with his jab. Hendricks connects with a left straight and a jab. They trade jabs but Hendricks tops his jab off with a straight left. Hendricks jabs, GSP with a superman punch. GSP continuing to connect with his jab and his low kicks. Hendricks counters a jab with a hook to the body. Hendricks changes levels for a take down, driving through to the cage and completing the take down. Hendricks works the body of GSP. GSP is able to escape and they clinch with Hendricks landing a hook to the body before the bell.

Round Four:

Hendricks doubles up his jab, GSP goes with a jab to the body but eats a counter. Hendricks lands a jab and a straight, GSP works his jab as well. Hendricks engages in a clinch that has GSP backing up sloppily as he trips to the ground – Hendricks pounces on him and works some ground and pound in GSP’s guard. GSP is throwing strikes from the bottom but they have nothing behind then – Hendricks goes to the body, body, and head throwing punches in combinations. Hendricks stacks up on him but then lets him get back to his feet. GSP is very bloodied up right now. Hendricks presses forward with three hard left hands. GSP throws a low kick. And another, but this time it is countered by a left. Hendricks doubles up his jab and looks for a left uppercut but just misses. GSP attempts to press forward and string together a combination but Hendricks evades him. GSP looks for a take down against the cage but is reversed. Hendricks changes levels for a double leg. GSP sprawls and reverses him. Hendricks lands a short knee to the thigh and then turns GSP around holding him against the cage to close out the round.

Round Five:

GSP throws a jab and a kick to the mid section and then changes levels going for a single leg. He drives through Hendricks into the cage but pulls Hendricks away from the cage while keeping hold of the single leg. Hendricks defends with great balance. Hendricks turns GSP against the cage and works for a double leg while landing knees to the thigh. GSP looking to threaten with a kimura but Hendricks throws him off. GSP lands a big kick to the body followed by a straight right and a take down. GSP has 3 minutes to work on top of Hendricks. Hendricks sneaks out from under him and is able to prop himself up to his knees. GSP stays on him. Hendricks gets back to his feet. GSP pins him against the cage but is reversed. GSP spins him once more. They spin eachother once more and Yamasaki separates them. GSP goes high with a kick. Hendricks lands a jab. GSP drives in for another take down with a minute to go but Hendricks defends against the cage. GSP switches to a single leg and drags Hendricks down but Hendricks is right back up. GSP pushes Hendricks against the cage, Hendricks reverses him. GSP threatens with a kimura. The bell sounds.

Rashad Evans vs. Chael Sonnen

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One:

Sonnen with a marathon like sprint charge towards Evans and immediately shoots in for the take down. Evans stuffs but is pressed against the cage. Sonnen works short knees in the clinch. Evans turns him around. Sonnen reverses him, but Evans reverses him once more. Sonnen grabs hold of a Thai-clinch but Evans changes levels for a double leg. Sonnen stuffs and threatens with a guillotine attempt. Evans gives up the take down and begins to work the body of Sonnen. Evans lands a big right, Sonnen firing back winging hooks with his back against the cage. Evan continues to drive through. Sonnen connects with a knee. Sonnen grabs another Thai-collar which has Evans dropping for a double leg and he completes the take down. Evans is working his ground and pound from half guard, landing a good right over the top, as well as landing a big elbow. Sonnen rolls over to his knees giving up his back, Evans stays on him landing ground and pound. Sonnen rolls again, Evans takes full mount and starts to pour on his ground and pound. Sonnen rolls onto his stomach and covers up. Evans unloads, Sonnen taps to strikes!

Robbie Lawler vs. Rory MacDonald

Round One:

Lawler opens with three consecutive low kicks. MacDonald moving forward slowly but keeping quite a good distance. Lawler charges forward but eats a counter. MacDonald goes high with a kick. Lawler goes low with a kick. MacDonald throws out a jab, Lawler tries to drag him into a clinch brawl but MacDonald disengages. MacDonald lands a front kick and a jab. Lawler again attacking the lead leg of MacDonald. Lawler explodes with an overhand left but MacDonald slips the punch. MacDonald lands another front kick to the boy. Lawler begins to aggressively chase after MacDonald looking to land something big but MacDonald circles away. MacDonald lands a stiff jab followed by a front kick. Lawler connects with a kick to the body, MacDonald catches the kick but Lawler uses that as a distance closer and tags MacDonald with two uppercuts. MacDonald throws a high kick before the bell.

Round Two:

MacDonald shoots in for a single leg but Lawler stuffs and tags MacDonald during the defense. They separate and reset at the center of the cage. MacDonald continues to move forward, landing his front kick from a range. MacDonald throws a straight right , Lawler a straight left. Lawler lands a right hook to the body as MacDonald is backed up against the cage. Lawler connects with a right hook. MacDonald lands an inside low kick as well as a straight right to the body. Lawler connects with a jab, MacDonald with another straight to the body. Lawler throws his low kick that MacDonald continues to eat up without checking. MacDonald does respond with a front kick and a straight right. MacDonald beginning to turn up the pace and change levels for a take down. He completes it and looks to work on top of Lawler against the cage. MacDonald is literally just laying on top of Lawler – for about 20 seconds. He then postures up to his feet , pushing Lawler’s legs aside to pass into side control. Lawler regains half guard  but MacDonald unloads his elbows in the final 20 seconds. Lawler regains full guard but MacDonald closes out the round on top.

Round  Three:

Lawler connects with a heavy right hook early that staggers MacDonald. He follows it up with a left hook and an uppercut. MacDonald miraculously completes a take down on wobbly legs and will now work on top of Lawler. He doesn’t do anything though so Yamasaki stands him up. Lawler connects with another heavy right. MacDonald looks for another take down. Lawler sneaks out the back door and ends up on top of MacDonald and begins to work away at his ground and pound. MacDonald closes up his guard restricting Lawler’s movement. Lawler disengages and tells MacDOnald to get up. MacDonald is bleeding out of his nose quite badly. MacDonald calls for an eye poke though the replay seemed as though it was a punch. Fight resumes, MacDonald grabs a single leg. but is tagged again. Lawler presses forward and connects with two more heavy shots that rock MacDonald. Lawler swarms him, MacDonald goes down. Lawler pounces on him and is now in side control working his ground and pound. MacDonaonnects with a rild takes half guard but Lawler quickly transitions back to side control and lands another big left. One minute remaining. MacDonald is able to regain full guard. Rory threatens with an arm bar. Lawler defends and stands up. MacDonald follows. Lawler connects with a right, MacDonald secures a take down. MacDonald is working his elbows and his right hand.

Josh Koscheck vs. Tyron Woodley

Round One:

Koscheck takes the center early. Woodley connects with a right that sends Koscheck flying into the cage. Woodley swarms, Koscheck turns him against the cage. They battle for position for the large part of a minute – Herb Dean warns them to work. Koscheck continues to land short knees. They are separated and reset in the center of the cage. Woodley works his jab, Koscheck responds with his own. Koscheck connects with a low kick, Koscheck lands a straight right that has Woodley backing up. Koscheck wings his overhand right, Woodley steps back and wings one of his own. Koscheck eats a right, he’s rocked. Woodley lands another, Koscheck goes down. Woodley swarms him landing right after right – Koscheck is hardly defending himself. Woodley jumps on top of Koscheck, Koscheck obtains a very closed guard controlling the posture of Woodley preventing further damage and allowing himself time to recover. Herb Dean stands them up. Koscheck presses forward with a straight right – Woodley counters with a huge right hand that lands on the chin. Koscheck’s knees buckle, Woodley lands two punches to the head as Koscheck is going down and Herb Dean stops the fight!

Ali Bagautinov vs. Timothy Elliott

Round One:

Bagautinov looking light on his feet early with Elliot stalking him down with his hands at his waist almost taunting Bagautinov. Elliot throws a kick – it’s caught and he’s trippped to the ground. Bagautinov goes in for a single leg but is stuffed and eats an uppercut. Elliot is looking to work his jab but Bagautinov is circling away and getting in and out with powerful rights. Elliot projects a take down and is stuffed, eating another uppercut. They clinch up momentarily and on the break Bagautinov connects with another right. Bagautinov connects with a stiff right hand that wobbles Elliot – Bagautinov follows it up with a knee.  Elliot keeps pressing forward. Elliot landing with a low kick as well as a left jab. Elliot presses forward for another low kick but Bagautinov catches the kick and takes him down. Elliot is quick to get back to his feet. Elliot connects with a jab. Bagautinov continues to circle away, picking his shots with his right hand. Bagautinov connects with anther right, Elliot tries to connect with a flying knee but Bagautinov catches it and pushes him against the cage. Final 10 seconds, Bagautinov connects with a hard 1-2 combination and follows it up with a high kick that also connects.

Round Two:

Elliot continues to press forward but is having a hard time stringing together any offense while Bagautinov circles effectively and lands his right pretty much at will. Bagautinov catches a flying knee from Elliot but Elliot immediately threatens with a flying guillotine. He pulls guard – it looks tight. Bagautinov picks Elliot up and shakes him off! Elliot gets back up and ends up getting on top of Bagautinov. Elliot starts to pepper the body of Bagautinov. Bagautinov threatens with an arm bar attempt but doesn’t get the submission – he uses it to sweep Elliot and return to his feet. Bagautinov connects yet again with his right. Elliot with an inside low kick, Bagautinov counters with another right. Elliot connects with a left hook. Elliot shoots in for a take down that is stuffed and the attempt is reversed by Bagautinov. Elliot defends and they return to this feet. They exchange some light strikes before the closing bell.

Round Three:

Elliot proceeds to come forward, using unorthodox movement. Bagautinov connects with a front kick. They exchange with jabs and straights, landing quite equally. Bagautinov connects with yet another right followed by another front kick. Bagautinov loads up an uppercut on the stalking Elliot. Elliot works some low kicks from the outside. Bagautinov works the same jab-straight right punch three times consecutively, all landing. Elliot connects with a 3 punch combination that has Bagautinov looking for a take down. The take down is stuffed and they reset. Bagautinov works his jab but Elliot uses his movement to avoid damage. Elliot wings an uppercut and misses wide. Elliot chases Bagautinov down with a jab but misses and is countered by a heavy right. Bagautinov presses forward with a two punch combination and closes it with a high kick that lands flush. 10 seconds remaining – Bagautinov connects with a right hand. Elliot shoots for the take down and completes it, but Bagautinov is right back to his feet.

Round One:

Dunham immediately shoots for a take down but is stuffed by Cerrone, eating a knee on the break. Dunham connects with a left but is countered by a knee. Cerrone connects with a knee that has Dunham hurt. Cerrone swarms him, landing a big straight right. Dunham stumbles back, Cerrone continues to swarm him. Dunham is on his back eating shot after shot – Cerrone obtains top control and lands some ground and pound. There’s a scramble and Dunham is able to get on top. Cerrone throws his legs up for a triangle, Dunham pops his head out but his arm is still trapped. Cerrone uses an omaplata to sweep Dunham. Cerrone peppers Dunham with some shots. They pop up to their feet, Dunham presses Cerrone against the cage and peppers him with short strikes. Cerrone turns him and connects with two hard knees that has Dunham backing up. Dunham doesn’t let up, though, and continues to press forward looking to box with Cerrone. However, Cerrone is attacking from all angles timing his knees especially well, as well as mixing it up with low kicks. Cerrone connects with a jab. They circle each other, Cerrone landing a low kick before the round ends.

Dunham connects with a hard kick, Dunham grabs a thai-collar and they exchange wildly in the clinch. They separate, Cerrone lands with a hard kick to the mid section. Dunham shoots for a take down but Cerrone stuffs and connects with a knee. Dunham goes over the top with a left but it didn’t have much power. Dunham then strings together a three punch combination, connecting with an uppercut. Cerrone lands a kick and a punch to the mid section. Dunham lands two stiff punches but eats a high kick at the end of his combination. Dunham shoots for a take down once again – Cerrone defends and then transitions to the back of Dunham taking him down and landing in side control. Dunham reverses Cerrone but is immediately trapped in a triangle. It’s in deep! Dunham taps!

Round One:

Herman opens with a low kick. They then swing WILDLY, with Leites tagging Herman sending him stumbling to the ground. Leites on top in half guard. Herman kicks Leites off of him momentarily but Leites is right back at it. Herman throws up kicks that connect before Leites jumps back into the guard of Herman, landing in half guard. Leities sneaks his leg out of Herman’s half guard and steps over into side mount. Herman rolls out and pops back up to his feet. Leites stays on him, pinning him against the cage. Leites completes an outside clinch from a body lock, landing in closed guard but steps over into full mount. Herman rolls, giving up his back. Leites puts both hooks in but has his back against the cage. Leites begins to pepper Herman with rights. Herman rolls, Leites stays with him connecting with hard lefts. They roll, Leites continues to keep control of his back. Just before the bell Herman scrambles back up to his feet.

Herman  connects with a low kick as well as a right hook that draws a reaction from the crowd. Leites responds with a stiff jab and a level change as he looks for a take down.Herman defends but is pinned against the cage. Herman pummels under and turns Leites into the cage. They reverse eachother twice followed by Leites completing a power bodylock take down landing in the half guard of Herman. Leites sneaks his leg out moving to full mount where Herman once again rolls, giving up his back with Leites staying on him against the cage. After a scramble, Herman regains full guard and lands an upkick that is illegal but is only given a warning. Leites takes side control and attempts to transition to the back once again. Leites sinks both hooks in, Herman rolls but Leites stays with him. Herman turns once again, maintaining half guard to close out the round.

Herman comes out aggressive and lands some powerful hooks on Leites who backs up into the cage. Leites regains composure and drives forward, pressing Herman against the cage. They battle for position while exchanging short strikes and Herman is able to turn Leites against the cage. Herman lands a left uppercut upon separation. Leites goes over the top with a right. Leites looks to complete a take down but Herman grabs the cage to stuff the attempt. Winslow slaps his hands off and Leites then completes the take down with 2:30 to go in the fight. Leites transitions to side mount and looks to continue transitioning to his back. Herman rolls, Leites stays with him and takes his back with both hooks in. Herman scrambles out and regains half guard. Leites continues to maintain position to close out the round and the fight.

Brian Ebersole vs. Rick Story

Referee: Herb Dean

Round One:

Story shoots in immediately but Ebersole defends. Ebersole eats a right as he’s coming in. Ebersole lands a lead elbow. Story eats a low kick but catches it and counters right a left. Ebersole once again comes forward but eats a heavy right from Story. Ebersole connects with a stepping in knee to the body. Story finding a home for his left hand over the top as Ebersole is coming in as well as hooks to the body. Story moves forward with hooks to the head and body of Ebersole – clearly the much busier fighter. Ebersole connects with a hook to the body. Story connects with two big left hooks in a wild exchange where Ebersole also connected with a right. Good chin on both fighters. Ebersole  feints and then connects with a low kick. Story works his jab and sets up a straight left that has Ebersole backing up into the cage. Story chases Ebersole down before the bell but cannot land anything flush.

Round Two:

Ebersole circling on the fringe, Story looking to stalk him down trying to cut off his movement with a low kick. Story looks for a take down, Ebersole defends but is driven through to the cage where he is dragged down. Story lands in side mount but Ebersole pops right back up to his feet. Ebersole shoots in for a take down of his own but Story sprawls it easily. Story comes over the top with a left followed by a right, Ebersole circles away. Ebersole connects with a jab but Story is connecting with hard counters whenever Ebersole moves in. Ebersole does land a nice elbow coming in, but Story continues to stalk him down and back him up. Story ducks under a punch and rips into the body of Ebersole with a right hook. Story lands flush with a left hook that has Ebersole looking for a single leg. Story defends and is backed into the cage but is able to reverse Ebersole against the cage and connected with a hard right hook that has Ebersole rocked. Ebersole doesn’t back down and swings for the fences with his back against the cage. Great end to the round.

Story secures a take down very early into the round and looks to posture up for some ground and pound. Story is swinging wildly from top position which allows Ebersole to find distance and make hsi way back to his feet. Story then attacks the leg of Ebersole with a low kick. Ebersole and Story clinch up with Ebersole trying to pin hmi against the cage but Story separates and they reset in the center. Story counters a jab with a right hook over the top. Ebersole still keeping his composure. Story continues to stalk down Ebersole down connecting with his hooks at will. Ebersole backs up against the cage, Story looks to tee off again. Story connects with a low kick that has Ebersole standing on one leg. Story looks to pour it on. They clinch up, Ebersole connects with a hard short elbow. Story connects with another low kick to the lead leg of Ebersole that has him stumbling forward – his leg is hurt. Story lands another one that drops Ebersole. Story pounces, landing in side control. Story works knees tot he shoulder and closes out the round one top.

Edwin Figueroa vs. Erik Perez

Referee: Kim Winslow

Round One:

Perez throws a high kick but Figueora counters with a two punch combination. Perez throws a low kick that lands south of the border and the fight is paused. The fight resumes. Perez attacks with an inside low kick followed up by a take down. Figueroa works his way back up to his feet against the cage. Perez goes high with a knee. Perez lands a hard front kick that sends Figueroa to the ground. He gets back up and Perez continues to seemingly pick apart Figueroa on the feet, landing a hard straight right. Perez has a cut on the bridge of his nose. Perez moves over to half guard and batters the ribs of Figueroa. Perez almost transitions to full mount but Perez hip escapes out and returns to his feet. Perez immediately takes him back to the ground and ends up in half guard once again.

Perez connects early with a right hand that sends Figueora to the ground. He recovers, but Perez is stalking him down landing a lead right elbow. Figueora lands a big uppercut that has Figueora changing levels for a take down. Perez picks Figueora up well over his head and slams him to the mat. Perez transitions to back control. Figueora props up to his knees against  the cage – Perez sticks on him and peppers him with some ground and pound. Figueora is able to get back to his feet momentarily but Perez almost immediately takes him back down. Perez is working his ground and pound from full guard. Perez transitions over to side control while isolating an arm for a triangle. Winslow.. stands them up.. with 5 seconds to go in the round..

Figueora is moving forward trying to get some offense strung together but Perez is circling effectively preventing Figueora from stringing anything together. Perez goes low with a kick. Perez throws a spinning wheel kick but just misses. Perez level changes and secures another take down once again landing in the half gaurd of his opponent. Perez steps over and transitions to side mount once again hunting for the arm triangle. Perez is attacking the body now, Figueora manages to return to hsi feet but eats a right hand over the top that has him backing up. Perez took control of this fight mixing it up with take downs and his power strikes.

Round One:

They touch gloves and we’re underway. Lapsley charges forward right a right but High changes levels and secures the take down almost immediately. High moves immediately into full mount and begins to pour it on with his ground and pound. Lapsley rolls and gives up his back. High sinks both hooks in. Lapsley is able to get up to his feet against the cage but High immediately shoots for the take down. Lapsley is on his knees, High sinks in a guillotine attempt and pulls guard but lands wrong and Lapsley is safe, but High still in a dominant position. High moves to his back, picks Lapsley up and slams him back down taking his back once again. High looks for the rear naked once again but Lapsley defends. High transitions from back control to mount. Lapsley rolls but High stays on him, taking his back once more. High moves for the guillotine once again. It’s deep. He rolls into a full mount guillotine but Lapsley defends. High maintains mount to close out the round.

Lapsley leads with his right hook again but High level changes almost immediately and ends up, once again, in mount. High threatens with a mounted guillotine but Lapsley defends, High maintains mount. Lapsley rolls, High rolls with him taking his back. They roll again, Lapsley is finally able to get on top of High. High controlling Lapsley’s posture from on his back, preventing much ground and pound from getting through. Lapsley postures up to drop out a right. High is able to hip escape but Lapsley stays right on him and moves to half guard. High looks to buck Lapsley off of him as Lapsley isolates the left arm of High. Lapsley with a good elbow from the top.

Round Three:

Lapsley opens with a kick up the middle followed by a right hook. High responds with a jab. High explodes forward with a combination and then level changes for the take down. High in Lapsley’s guard. High stacks up on Lapsley and is opening up with his ground and pound. High throws Lapsley’s legs to the side and passes to side control. High moves towards an anaconda choke. High goes for the guillotine once again and pulls guard. Lapsley is able to escape but High transitions to an omaplata. High escapes and ends up on top but High is able to reverse position. Lapsley pops up to his feet and takes the back of High. High rolls for a leg lock attempt. Lapsley defends and stays on him. Lapsley looks to take his back but slips off and it is High back on top control. High works in half guard and rides out the position to close out the round.

Sergio Pettis vs. Will Campuzano

Round One:

Pettis coming out looking like Anthony with his movement but Campuzano immediately shoots for a double leg. He completes it but Pettis threatens with a guillotine, forcing a stand up. Pettis throws a high kick but Campuzano catches the kick and secures another take down. Pettis has control of the left wrist. Campuzano breaks the control, there’s a brief scramble and they pop up to their feet but Campuzano moves to the back of Pettis and has a single hook in against the cage. Pettis turns into Campuzano and ends up on top of him. Pettis postures up to his feet and knees Campuzano in the body as he’s downed. Campuzano stands and eats a kick to the body. They separate. Campuzano lands a body kick of his own. Campuzano presses forward with an uppercut. Pettis attacks the lead leg of Campuzano that landed very hard. He follows it up with two more. His corner is yelling for him to attack Campuzano’s lead leg. Pettis continues to throw to the front leg, but is now using it to set up punching combinations.Pettis jumps up for a flying knee but Campuzano catches him and takes him down with 15 seconds to go in the round. Campuzano postures up for some ground and pound before the bell.

Round Two:

 

Campuzano coming out aggressive in this second round, charging forward landing but still getting the worse of the exchanges. Campuzano is hunting for a take down but Pettis is sticking and moving very effectively. Campuzano goes to the body, body, head. Pettis lands a kick to the body, Campuzano answers with a right hand. Pettis shoots in for a double leg, securing the take down and landing on top of Campuzano’s butterfly guard. Campuzao looks to return to his feet, Pettis secures a power guillotine that was tight but Campuzano rolled to his back to defend. Pettis is on top of him in full mount and hunts for a kimura. Campuzano defends. Pettis transitions to his back for a rear naked. Campuzano turns into Pettis and ends up on top and in Pettis’ guard. Pettis is calm on his back, Campuzano postures up to his feet and rains down a right hand that lands flush. Pettis rolls and gives up his back to get to his feet – Campuzano stays with him. Pettis is able to reverse position and drag Campuzano back to the ground as he moves into side control. Campuzano is able to regain a butterfly guard and push Pettis off. Pettis shot in for a take down and ate a knee that has Campuzano backing up.

Round Three:

Pettis defends a take down from Campuzano and looks for that power  guillotine once again as they’re on their feet but Campuzano defends and shoots in for another take down completing it and landing in Pettis’ full guard. Campuzano is looking to isolate the right arm of Pettis for a triangle but Pettis defends and regains full guard. Pettis actively throwing his legs up hunting for submissions, Campuzano throwing light ground and pound to stay active as we approach the half way mark of the third round. Sergio throws his legs up and grabs an arm for a triangle but Campuzano defends. Campuzano postures up to his feet for some ground and pound but Pettis trips him up. They scramble, Campuzano almost ends up in full mount but Pettis gets back to his feet. Campuzano eats a big punch on his way back to his feet. Campuzano shoots for another take down but Pettis sprawls and transitions to his back. Campuzano is back to his feet, Pettis looks for a trip but Campuzano defends. Final 10 seconds, Pettis secures a body lock take down landing in side control to end the fight.

Cody Donovan vs. Gian Villante

Round One:

They clinch and unload some short shots early, Donovan with a right over the top and Villante landing some uppercuts. They separate. Villante lands a low kick. Donovan moves inside and goes to the body. Villante eats a jab and a low kick. Donovan goes high with a kick that clips the side of his head that has Villante backing up. Donovan tries to swarm, Villante gets his composure. Donovan goes high again. Villante and Donovan engage in a clinch, Villante getting better position pressing Villante against the cage. Donovan sets up another right hand with his jab. Donovan leads with an uppercit. Villante responds with a low kick. Donovan lands two consecutive straight rights before throwing a low kick. Donovan responds with another right. Donovan throws a hard body kick that lands but Villante catches it and uses it to secure the take down landing in half guard. Donovan regains full guard and has a tight closed guard. Donovan swivels his hips for an arm bar, Villante stands up and lets him back on his feet. Villante throws his jab in Donovan’s face. Donovan lands another right, follows it up with a jab and a left hook all landing flush. Donovan appears to of been eye poked but no time out called – he’s backing up. Villante chases after him, eats a knee, and lands a knee of his own before the bell.

Round Two:

Donovan is continuing to throw his right over the top and has found a home for it. Villante is standing infront of Donovan eating it every time its thrown. Donovan level changes for a take down, eats a knee on his way through. Villante stuffs and is pressed against the cage momentarily. They break free. Donovan throws a high kick but Villante lands his right hand before the kick and sends Donovan to the mat! Villante swarms him and finishes him off!

Gian Villante defeats Cody Donovan via TKO (strikes) at 1:22 in round 2.
