On a day when UFC 167 lost a fight, the card also gained one, as Robert Drysdale will face Cody Donovan.
The bout was first reported by the Las Vegas Sun for the 20th anniversary card on November 16 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. A planned heavyweight encounter between Frank Mir and Alistair Overeem was taken off the card earlier Thursday.
Drysdale was expected to make his debut earlier this year with the promotion, but an injury forced him out of a fight with Ednaldo Oliveira. He is a world-renowned jiu-jitsu coach and fighter who is 6-0 with all six wins via submission.
Donovan was defeated in his UFC debut by Ovince St. Preux recently.
