Kyoji Horiguchi made his UFC debut count, taking a second round stoppage over The Ultimate Fighter 14’s Dustin Pague. They kicked off UFC 166 in a bantamweight contest. Horiguchi, who has been fighting as a flyweight, said it’s too early to decide which weight class he’ll call home.
“I tried my best for the UFC,” said Horiguchi through a translator to MMA Fighting. “First I need to relax before I think of the next step.”
Horiguchi spent his career mostly for Shooto and VTJ. He’s now 12-1 and rides six wins.
Pague could be looking for a new job. He’s dropped four in a row and is 1-5 for the UFC.
