A late injury caused the finals of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2 to change and Leonardo Santos was given a second chance. He came back in the second round to choke out William Macario, thus winning the show that focused on welterweights.
When fans see Santos again, he will be smaller as he’s dropping to lightweight.
“I think in January or February I’ll be back,” said Santos to MMA Junkie. “I will have to suffer and starve, but I will go back to lightweight.”
The 33-year-old is 12-3 with time in Shooto, BAMMA and Cage Warriors. Before competing on the reality show, Santos had fought as a lightweight.
There’s no exact return information regarding Santos.
