UFC president Dana White had just one problem with UFC on FOX 11.
How did Travis Browne gas himself out just minutes into his scheduled five-round main event with Fabricio Werdum to crown a top contender to the UFC heavyweight title.
White, appearing on the FOX Sports 2 post-fight show, seemed stunned by what he saw. Werdum earned a decision victory, moving on to challenge Cain Velasquez for the belt later this year.
“The crazy part is….the big question I have is, how was he gassed out in the first two minutes of the first round?” White asked.
During the post-fight press conference, though, White backtracked a little on his comments, as he indicated that Browne “definitely” broke his hand and likely suffered a broken rib in the first round.
