Travis Browne took to social media to offer fans an update on his status since a loss at UFC on FOX 11 earlier this month to Fabricio Werdum.
Browne was unable to get on track in the fight, as it was reported he suffered a broken hand in the first round. While “Hapa” didn’t make mention of any injuries in the video posted on Instagram, he did let fans know they can expect a new heavyweight when he returns.
“I’ll be back as soon as I’m all healed up,” he said. “I learned a lot about myself and look forward to making the proper changes to move forward.”
Browne (16-2-1) lost for just the second time in his career and had his three-fight win streak snapped. The bout with Werdum was to determine the No. 1 contender to Cain Velasquez and the UFC title.
