For once, Khabib Nurmagomedov isn’t the one to blame for a fight being cancelled.
Tony Ferguson has been forced out of the planned UFC on FOX 19 main event due to issues with his lung, according to the former Ultimate Fighter winner. The card will proceed with Rashad Evans and Glover Teixeira in the main event role.

Ferguson and Nurmagomedov were set for a title-eliminator in the lightweight division. No word yet if officials will keep “The Eagle” on the card.
Since a 2012 decision loss to Michael Johnson, Ferguson (20-3) has won seven in a row, including wins over Edson Barboza, Josh Thomson and Gleison Tibau.
Nurmagomedov (22-0) has been on the sidelines since a 2014 win over current UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos. He’s also bested Pat Healy, Abel Trujillo and Thiago Tavares.
Evans and Teixeira is a make-shift main event, as “Suga” was scheduled to face Mauricio “Shogun” Rua before an injury sidelined Rua.
Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, always willing to step in on short notice, offered up this comment on Twitter after the Ferguson injury news:
I Know A Guy!!
