Todd Duffee will make his long-awaited return to the Octagon later this year, taking on Anthony Hamilton at UFC 181.
Officials announced the heavyweight bout for the December 6 event from Las Vegas. Two titles will be on the line that night, as Chris Weidman defends his middleweight belt vs. Vitor Belfort and Anthony Pettis faces Gilbert Melendez for the lightweight gold.
Duffee (8-2) is in his second stint with the promotion, but has not competed since 2012. After his win over Phil De Fries, the 28-year-old was recovering from an injury when he found out he had Parsonage Turner Syndrome.
Doctors told Duffee he would be on the shelf for two years, but he returned to training shortly after the diagnosis and is now ready to compete again.
Hamilton (12-3) has split his two UFC appearances, falling to Oleksiy Oliynyk and defeating Ruan Potts in August.
Below is the current lineup:

Chris Weidman (c) vs. Vitor Belfort
UFC Lightweight Championship
Anthony Pettis (c) vs. Gilbert Melendez
Heavyweight: Travis Browne vs. Brendan Schaub
Light Heavyweight: Corey Anderson vs. Gian Villante
