TJ Grant is no dummy and won’t be training until his brain is back to 100 percent. A concussion caused the lightweight to pull himself from a title shot on two occasions now. Since being diagnosed, Grant hasn’t touched the mats in three months.
“I had to make a good decision for myself,” said Grant on Fight Hub TV. “Your brain is a different story. I still haven’t trained really, at all. I haven’t been on the mats, at all, for three months. I just want to do what’s best for myself. I’m not starting training unless my brain is 100 percent.”
Since dropping to lightweight, Grant has won five in a row. This year he finished Matt Wiman and Gray Maynard in the first round.
